Have you ever seen a couple “hit it off” right away after meeting for the first time? Some people call that “great chemistry” but part of what creates this attraction might also be pheromones. Pheromones are chemicals that are secreted in our sweat and other bodily fluids that are believed to influence sexual interest and excitement. Like adding spice to your favorite foods, pheromones are believed to captivate those around you by accenting your natural sex appeal.
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a love potion. However, pheromones can still tilt the scales in your favor by helping you get more attention and giving you an unfair advantage in attracting the opposite sex. It is known that pheromones influence how animals develop, mate, bond, and nurture their offspring. And while it’s true that humans are more evolved than animals, several studies suggest that pheromones still continue to play a role in our relationships and whom we find attractive.
